january have always been synonymous with birthdays. and although i often intend to dress up for occasions, it always seemed impractical to me to buy a dress, take 100 photos with the dress on then never be able to wear it again. my thinking process when shopping always involves the one questions, 'are people going to remember that i wore this?' so, it's understandable why i've ended up with a closet full of black, white, stripes and more black - but that's when mix and match comes to the rescue.
