my friend once said that it's impractical for me to buy sneakers. he was right, but there comes times in life, especially during work where you are faced with grueling days where you stand for hours and hours on. this is where wedged sneakers come in. isabel marants would probably break most of our banks and you really don't want the pretends, so here are my picks and my unsung heroes who have gotten so little credit here on the blog.

being born in winter seems to have most likely caused my immense resistance towards summer. i don't enjoy sunbathing, i don't enjoy being seen in a bikini and i definitely do not enjoy melting away on the streets of hong kong. summer has also presented the greatest problem of all- what can i wear other than t-shirts and shorts? oh why oh why....

i haven't done an outfit post in so long that i think i had forgot how it works, so excuse the faceless shots. posts ago, i mentioned my extended obsession with isabel marant's jeans but have had no luck with them - until now. these embroidered jeans from the SS12 runway have been sold out almost the split second they had appeared on net-a-porter, but seems i had caught up with luck as i found the last pair and in my size on a mannequin in their hong kong shop. second thoughts? don't think so.

preview! preview! preview! giuseppe zanotti's aw12/13 collection overflows with all the dream elements i could wish for in a shoe. studs, bows, fur, metallics and more. this 80's inspired collection shows that giuseppe zanotti is way more than the infamous dizzy wedge and each shoe is piece of art. oh, and not to mention that they're so serious about their shoes that they offer their clients customization services allowing them to select a preferred heel height, material and even colour. dreamy...

if you're even slightly present in the blogosphere you would have already been obsessed with the statement jewellery trend, and dannijo would definitely be one of the brands on radar.  statement jewellery is the perfect alternative to bright lippies which helps add the va-va-voom to any outfit. but of course being a statement piece, it immediately implies that it would most likely be recognized after one wear. so this makes these H&M earrings just perfect.

isabel marant was in town this weekend! i caught a glimpse of her but wasn't able to get hold of her - exactly the same situation with me and her clothes. recently there was a love at first sight situation with me and her pair of embroidered jeans from this season and as soon as i spotted it, it had already been sold out. and the same has happened season after season. but let's just say that i have high hopes now that they've opened their third stand alone shop in hong kong,yay!

wang! wang! wang!

so, alexander wang took my phone and snapped a photo with me. yes. and you can't even imagine how starstruck i was, so much that i couldn't even control my facial muscles. and i'm so overjoyed cause i also won the contest i mentioned in the previous post! and so this is the t by alexander top i won and it gave me the perfect chance to thank my boyfriend/photographer for snapping that winning shot. happy days.

with the opening of the first alexander wang store in hong kong comes a series of celebration, including a party in which mr w himself is rumoured to be attending.  and leading on to the day, JOYCE is holding a competition over weibo encouraging everyone to post their best a.wang look where a winner is selected each day to win an item from the alexander wang objects collection. so here is my look, fingers crossed!
